The LSA

Do you have some openings for an upcoming tournament or regular season games, or do you have a team that is looking to play in a tournament? Please e-mail your information to acrouse@luthsports.org.

Your information should include: 1. The Sport 2. Your school and town 3. Your e-mail that you can be reached at. 4. Day/Weekend of the tournament or time frame you wish to travel on 5. Boys or Girls 6. Any other information you wish to post (ie, wish to travel in central Illinois only).

If your tournament needs are filled, please e-mail back to acrouse@luthsports.org so we can remove you from the list. The LSA only runs the STATE events. By posting teams or school sponsored tournaments, the LSA is not promoting the teams or tournaments. This is not a form of application into the STATE tournament or any other tournament or event. Unless noted in your e-mail, all tournaments and teams will be assumed to be varsity. This is merely a service to our member schools.

Christ Lutheran School in Peoria is hosting a boys and a girls summer basketball tournament on June 25 and 26, 2010. (Friday-Saturday).

This is an 8 team tournament with each team guaranteed to play 3 games. Those interested may contact Ralph Teske at rteske@clspeoria.org or call Ralph Teske or Terry Mooney at Christ Lutheran School at (309) 637-1512.

Fox Valley Lutheran Academy in Elgin, Illinois is looking for a 7-8 grade girls basketball team for their annual tournament January 8-10. Each team will play one game on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Games will be played at Good Shepherd Christian Life Center in Elgin. Contact Bruce Knosher at bknosher@yahoo.com.

Concordia Lutheran School, Peoria, Illinois; is looking for one 7-8 Girls Basketball Team to fill one open slot for next January, 2010’s Cougar Classic Basketball Tournament. All teams will play 3 games, with medallions going to girls on teams placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Consolation. Trophies also for those places. It is an 8-team tourney; 2-bracket tourney. The tourney is in its 14th year. Tourney date: January 16-17, 2010.

St. Paul Lutheran School is looking for one additional team for its 43rd annual 5&6th grade boys’ tournament being held the weekend of February 27 – March 1.

Immanuel Lutheran School in East Dundee is hosting a girls varsity basketball team. The tournament is January 23 & 24, 2009.

Trinity Lutheran in Springfield. Varsity Girls Tournament second weekend of February 2010. One game Friday, two on Saturday and one on Sunday. Any interested teams should connect with contact below.
